St. Joseph's Health and Family Services Center
Architecture Incorporated designed a new health care facility at St. Joseph’s Indian School to provide more efficient space to better serve current programs, flexibility for future programs, and better student access. SJIS has provided a residential, quality grade 1-8 educational program for Native American children — at no cost — since 1927. The enrollment is approximately 200 students, with small class sizes to provide individual attention. On-site clinic health care is provided for students and staff, as well as Family Service counseling working one-on-one with each student and their family. The new two-level 15,000-square-foot facility will offer full clinic services, sick bay rooms with 11 beds, and an office level for the full range of counseling services offered to students and their families.
