St. Adrian Catholic Church
St. Adrian Catholic Church in Adrian, Minnesota, had experienced water infiltration damage and non-historic alterations over the years. Architecture Incorporated was selected to assist the Church in restoring the nave and sanctuary to its original appearance. A master plan was developed to allow the church to finish the project in phases.
The work included the repair of damaged ornate plaster and a more historic painting scheme featuring stenciling and gilding. Stations of the Cross, wood statues and wood altars were repaired, cleaned and repainted. The mural behind the altar was cleaned and repaired. New pendant light fixtures were added. The pews were removed off site for repair and refinishing. The carpet was replaced.
The next phase of the project will include rebuilding the side stairs to provide better access to the Fellowship Hall located in the basement. Toilet facilities will be expanded and basement finishes will be replaced.
