The Corsica-Stickney School District added a 21,000-square-foot expansion, which included a Kindergarten through 5th-grade classroom wing, learning commons, updated administration area, and a secure vestibule, located to the south of the existing gymnasium in Stickney, SD. The classroom wing wrapped around the gymnasium on its west and north sides. The project was completed in two phases: the new classrooms were built first, followed by the demolition of the existing structure. Some of the original terra cotta and stonework was salvaged and incorporated into the new building.
