CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE) ACADEMY
The Sioux Falls School District selected Architecture Incorporated to provide the architectural/engineering services for the district’s state-of-the-art Career and Technical Education (CTE) Academy. Approximately 950 high school students attend the CTE facility on an annual basis. The academy provided the framework from which the district can most efficiently and effectively expand CTE programs to better meet the needs of all high school students. This project developed an approximately 20-acre site on the South end of Southeast Technical Institute’s campus in Sioux Falls. The district’s goals are to have all students successfully complete high school graduation requirements and to foster partnerships with families, community members, businesses and organizations in support of the District’s vision. The CTE Academy provides education in specialized academic areas such as automotive, carpentry, health, culinary, media production and manufacturing. The building was designed to LEED™ Silver Standards.
