Architecture Incorporated of Sioux Falls is setting up a Rapid City office on the second floor of the Turnac Tower building at 909 St. Joseph St.

The firm has been in Sioux Falls for 34 years, but now has so many West River projects going on, said partner Mark Aspaas, that it was time to open an office here.

The firm is doing the West River Higher Education Center for the South Dakota Board of Regents and some work at the Sanford Underground Laboratory at Homestake in Lead, among other projects, Aspaas said.

“We have really seen the West River area as a good market for the kinds of things we do,” he said. The firm handles lots of elementary and secondary school projects, for example.

Architecture Incorporated has six architects and two interior designers on its staff of 23 and may add staff to handle the growth, Aspaas said.
